Gaatha: A Tale of Crafts
Gaatha is the journey of five crafts from a village in Kachchh. In ouur society each of these crafts have evolved with time. The questions that arise are :how do the crafts evolve? Are they lost with time or do they re-emerge? Is commercialization the solution or the problem? In search for the answers for these questions I visited Nirona where these crafts are practised.
This is a story of the transformations these crafts have seen over the years.
